As the leaves turn golden across Speyside, an autumn visit to The Macallan Estate offers a range of unforgettable luxury experiences, whether you are a whisky enthusiast or not. Set across the stunning 485 acre estate you can enjoy curated distillery tours, luxury dining, bar time and personal shopping all year round.

Booking ahead is an essential part of the experience, with visitor numbers carefully limited to provide a personal service and exclusive feel.

TimeSpirit Dining

Set within The Macallan’s architecturally stunning distillery, TimeSpirit is an intimate restaurant created in collaboration with the acclaimed Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca. Opened in 2024, it marked the celebrated Spanish restaurant’s first dining concept outside Spain.

TimeSpirit showcases the very best seasonal Scottish produce through a menu inspired by the landscape and heritage of the region. You can enjoy expertly crafted dishes paired with wines, sherry or whiskies that enhance the flavours of each course.

With its open kitchen, floor-to-ceiling views across Speyside and whisky-filled dining room, TimeSpirit offers a memorable celebration of Scotland and The Macallan’s rich story.

The six course lunch tasting menu is ÂŁ75 per person. The nine course dinner tasting menu is ÂŁ105 per person. You can also purchase TimeSpirit gift vouchers.

The Macallan Bar & Six Pillars cocktails

For a more relaxed way to experience The Macallan, head to The Macallan Bar, set on the first floor of the award-winning distillery with panoramic views across the Speyside landscape. The bar boasts the largest selection of The Macallan whiskies anywhere in the world, alongside handcrafted whisky cocktails, non-alcoholic serves and other drinks.

For whisky lovers or those looking to delve deeper into the drams themselves, you can choose from two tasting flights. The Story of Oak explores the influence of oak maturation through three carefully selected expressions, while Through the Ages presents three high-aged whiskies, offering an insight into The Macallan’s heritage and history. Both experiences take place in The Macallan Bar, where booking ahead is essential.

For cocktail lovers, the Six Pillars Cocktail Experience offers a more immersive introduction to the spirit. Six carefully crafted cocktails explore the principles that underpin The Macallan, from its Curiously Small Stills to its Exceptional Oak Casks, with each serve telling a different part of the whisky’s story. The two-hour experience also includes a paired charcuterie board designed to complement the flavours and aromas of each cocktail. The Six Pillars is suited for groups of up to eight guests.

Time for Excellence and Mastery curated tours

Of course it wouldn’t be a trip to one of the most famous distilleries in the world without a tour, and The Macallan’s guided distillery experiences provide an incredible behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship that defines the single malt whisky maker. From the production process to the architecture of the distillery itself, every stage of the journey offers a deeper understanding of The Macallan’s Speyside home.

Led by a dedicated host, the three-hour Time for Excellence experience begins at the Whisky Wall, where guests can enjoy a dram while discovering key moments from The Macallan’s history. From there you are guided through the production area to explore the distillery’s unique whisky-making process and gain an insight into its commitment to the mastery of wood and spirit. The experience continues with further tasting in The Macallan Bar, followed by time to browse the boutique and enjoy some personal shopping.

For the ultimate tour The Macallan Mastery Experience offers five hours of whisky exploration, including dining too. The experience begins with a welcome dram at The Macallan Whisky Wall before embarking on an in-depth tour of the distillery. The highlight is a six-course tasting menu at TimeSpirit, where dishes are paired with The Macallan Whisky and Valdespino Sherry, creating a carefully considered journey of flavours. A true mastery of flavours, this is one of The Macallan’s most immersive experiences, bringing together whisky, food and craftsmanship in a single visit.
